St. Petersburg label Usta k Ustam (‘lips to lips’ in Russian) recently released their new lookbook. Known for Northern no-nonsense minimalism and natural fabrics, its aesthetics slightly remind us of some of our favourite Scandinavian brands. The label doesn’t strictly follow seasons or trends, but designs durable garments for any occasion, made of cotton and wool. With lookbooks that are usually nothing short of a fairytale in photographs, they turned a surprising new page with their latest shoot, by taking their countryside-inspired dresses to the bustle of Tokyo. The result brilliantly captures a girl that blends in with the environment, but stands out at the same time.
