Alena Akhmadullina

“On the blue sea bad weather arose. The scarlet ships stood still. The wind drove the waves and tore the sails. But the ships didn’t move from their place.” Alena Akhmadullina S/S16, inspired by the ancient fairytale of Sadko. A folkloric collection testament to Akhmadullina’s excellence artisanship and poetic eye for beauty and movement. Dresses resembled the ever moving ocean, waves crashed on to tops, trousers and shorts, while schools of fish swam, snaking around dresses and coats in perfect symmetry.
